The Latest and Greatest

Mid-19th Century English Transferware Platter

Early 19th Century American Copper and Walnut Bed Warmer

Vintage Bogoff Costume Jewelry Rhinestone Necklace

This one brings lots of questions.  Is it real?  Real being,
1880's LaRosa Colorado Habana Display made of Cast Iron
and featuring a dapper gentleman holding a cigar box.... OR
is it a  1930's reproduction made to look like an 1880's original that NEVER EXISTED.

It has been said that this cast iron cigar box is a product of the
whimsy period of the late 20's - early 30's
Either way, it's old
Auction results see this little box
as a winner, and a great example of Black Americana Advertising...
Typical auction value... $1800
I think it's 1880, and so do many of my colleagues.
